what is "nanakusa"?

In Japan, there are two kinds of "Nanakusa", "Nanakusa" in spring we use seven kinds of herbs for cooking, "Nanakusa" in autumn we use seven kinds of wild flowers that only grow that time of year.

In the Heian period (about 1000 years ago), "Nanakusa-gayu" (rice porridge with spring herbs) was served in the morning of January 7th, to stop illness and wish good health for the coming year. This is based on Chinese tradition and this day happens to be my birthday.
So, I named my shop "Nanakusa", the logo of shop is Dianthus (this is one of the "Nanakusa" autumn flowers)
