 Art  is  an  expression  of  prayers  in  order  for  humans  to  live  a
 dignified  life@as  they  so  deserve.  There  was  a  time  in  the
past  when  this  form  of  epression@was  denied,  suppressed  and
silenced.  We  may  as  well  see  that  peace  is  a  pre-condition  for
art  while  freedom  of  expression  being  its  soul.
 Today  we're  faced  with  sobering  issues  like  nuclear  proliferation,
radiation  from nuclear  energy  plants  and  environmental
destruction around  the  world.  So  much so  that  the  very
existence  of  life  on earth  is  at  stake.  
 We  ask  you  as  peace  and  art  lovers  to  unite  under  the  banner
 of  peace  beyond  thoughts,  beliefs,  schoolsor  styles  and  solicit
still more  support  from  a  wider  community.
 "Gifu  peace  and  Art  Exhibition"  will  serve  as  a  site  of  unity
for  peace  am  to  promote  interactions  of  both  local  and
international  visitors  and contributors,  pursuing  the  same  goal.
