心霊現象

心霊現象（しんれいげんしょう）とは、超常現象の中で、とりわけ①霊魂が起こしていると考えられるものをいう。

逆の言い方をするなら、「超常現象」の中でも、心霊を研究する立場から、②霊が介在していると推測される現象を限定的にそう呼ぶことが多い。

概説

③霊の介在によって生じたとも考えられており、現時点での④一般的な自然科学的な知識では説明しきれないとされる現象のことである[１]。

大分類

『超常現象大事典』では、大きく「物理的心霊現象」と⑤「精神的心霊現象」に分けられる、とされた[２]。

「物理的心霊現象」とは、霊の作用により何らかの⑥物理的に観測可能な現象を生じるもの[３]とされ例えば、

物質化現象、瞬間移動、物体浮揚、ラップ現象、ボリターガイスト現象、念写、直接談話などが含まれる。[４]。

「精神的心霊現象」とは、物理的現象を伴わず、⑦霊媒が霊からメッセージを受け取るものであるとさ

例えば自動言語、自動書記、口寄せ、霊視、霊聴などである[５]。

解説

最も分かりやすいものは、⑧「霊的存在の目撃談」や、「そういった存在が引き起こしたとされる諸現象や崇りなど⑨経験談」といったものの内容に含まれる情報である。

しかし、これらは⑩経験者（同時に複数の場合もある）の主観に基ずく経験談がほとんどで、自己暗示、集団催眠、錯覚、幻覚、幻聴などの勘違いの例も多く、

興味本位でその情報を公開する限りは怪談や怪異譚の範囲を出ない。

一般に、生きている人間が、⑪目に見えない霊的存在にとり憑かれる、あるいは⑫霊的存在に体内に入り込まれるとされる現象を⑬、憑依（ひょうい）現象という。

（単に「憑依」とする場合も多い。）その結果、入り込まれた者の性格や態度が急変したり、体調に異変が起こり、事故に遭い易くなり、怪我が多くなる場合のあるとされる。

これらは、⑭憑依されたとする者の主観的経験や親告、⑮一般的に霊能者と呼ばれる者の主観的判断や主張に拠るところがほとんどのため、⑯研究対象として客観的証拠が乏しいなどの欠点があり、

⑰単なる思い込、一種のヒステリー状態やノイローゼ、催眠術や自己暗示などとの見分けもつきずらい。

その他、心霊を研究する立場から研究されている各種の⑱不思議現象を含めてこう呼ぶこともあり物理化現象と呼ばれることも多い
