The Ballett-Tage schedule was updated until 2005, and the Nijinsky-Gala
program was updated until 1999.
One of my friends in Germany wrote to me as follows:
On 11st, Jiri Bubenicek performing Nijinsky was injured during the first
act, so after that Alexandre Riabko as Le Spectre de la rose performed
through the end as Nijisky.
Amazing, Sascha!!!!!
And I hope Jiri will be fine soon.

One of my friends in Germany reported the interview to Silvia and Sascha
at the Ballet School as follows :
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Wednesday (28 Sep.) I've been in the Ballet School to witness the interview with Silvia and Sascha. It was an event for the members of our ballet-club.
Not only Silvia but also Sascha has seemed to enjoy the interview.
Both told us the story how she/he came to ballet and to Hamburg in a very funny and humorous way and we had much to laugh because there were so many coincidences to let it happen.
And what's more important he said that he will stay in Hamburg because he likes the atmosphere here.
Silvia told us about their wedding in Kiew in a wonderful Russian-orthodox church, but admitted that she didn't understand very much because she doesn't speak Russian.
Both were asked if they have a favourite role. Silvia likes her role in the "Matthaus Passion" very much and would like to dance Desdemona in "Othello". Sascha said that he didn't have one role he favoured especially but on the other hand didn't like all roles the same way, and then he named Armand and Puck as roles he likes to dance very much. He also said that he would like to dance Romeo one time.
Silvia and Sascha are very nice people. It was a very interesting event for me.
I forgot to tell you: Silvia, when asked which country she likes most for guest performances, answered without any hesitation: JAPAN. So she loves you all! Good to know, right?
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I think they shared really relaxed, intimate atomosphere. Thanks, G. I am also happy to hear about that.
Listen, G, I viewed Sascha's performace as Romeo at World Ballet Festhival
in Tokyo two years ago.
OhAanother friend wrote to me as follows:
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
We were surprised how well Silvia and Sascha spoke German. It's amazing,
they never had lessons.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I should study harder.......

The schedule of Ballet-Tage and the programs of Nijinsky-Gala until 1993
were updated. 1993 is a year when I met H and Y from Tokyo at Kampnagel
for the first time. Before that, actually I had seen them at the Oper because
Japanese people were few at that time. It was my third visit to Hamburg,
and I wanted someone to talk with about ballet.
Now I have updated the schedules of Ballet-Tage and the programs of Nijinsky-Gala
from 1977 to 1991 which are from Year Books I was presented by ballet fans
in Hamburg. They are so kind to have offered their precious Year Books
to me because they thought their books were helpful to make this homepage.
I thank them for their generosity from the bottom of my heart. So I dedicated
the pages made from their books to them.
Of course other ballet fans in Hamburg are very kind to my friends and me, so it is much fun to talk with them. And I deeply respect them about their love to ballet and dancers.

I have an interest from the associate program of Amazon Japan. It's more
than 10 Euro. I will donate it to the Ballett Schule when my friends or
I visit Hamburg.

I am so sorry not to be updated this site for a long time.
First, I joined in the associate program of Amazon as I noted. I
often buy something like books, DVDs at Japanese Amazon. Then I expected
somthing like cash back from the shop so that I joined the program. Although
I didn't expect someone bought something through my site, someone did !
So I decided to donate the interest from the program to the School
of Hamburg Ballet. I will report the interest every four months.
Second, I updated the page of What I have seen...about this summer performances,
and the Year Books' covers that I have. I am going to write down the Ballet-Tage
program.

on 21st and 22nd March. Click here

11 Feb. 2005
I made a new page to announce about the casting in Japan. Click here.
The performance in Hiroshima was very interesting to me. I felt another
stories from the dancers who performed in Hiroshima on 9 Feb, being different
from the performances that I saw in Hamburg. I think Winterreise was performed
only in Germany and Japan. It is not a joyful work to see, but I would
like people all over the world to see it to feel and think something.
By the way, almost the dancers who came to Hiroshima on 8th, visited Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum immediately and were looking at the displays so seriously for a long time.
After the performane of Winterreise, some of the dancers said to me that
to look at the displays of the museum helped him/her to understand their
roles and the work or something like that(I'm sorry I cannot remember their
words exactly). I was much moved by their words.
About Nijinsky on 3 Feb. in Tokyo, it was fascinationg to me. All of the
dancers were so wonderful. Many Japanese audience applauded enthusiastically.
Of course, me too !!!!!!
AND I have wondeful news to tell you. My favorite dancers are coming to
Japan this July after Ballet-Tage. Silvia Azzoni and Jiri Bubenicek are
going to come to Japan as members of "Etoile Gala"(I am afraid it has only Japanese version).
Another public performance will be given by Yukichi Hattori. Last year
he choreographed a one-act ballet work "Banjo no Teki("The Player
on the Other Side" in English) which were danced by his friends as
well as colleague and himself. That was so wonderful. Then this summer
he will give new ballet works on public in Japan in addition to his new ballet work for Hamburg Ballet. Oh, what a hard work ! But we are so happy to see his work(I am afraid this site has only Japanese version)!!! Maybe Almost English
readers cannot read anything, so I should write down a bit.
There are two parts. The First one is....
Hattori challenges KUROSAWA !!!
This is the eye-catcher copy I thought. He is preparing to adapt the novel
"Yabu no Naka" written by Akutagawa Ryunosuke for a ballet work, and that's the novel Kurosawa adapted for his film "Rashomon". Are you interested in it? I
don't know who will dance, however, some of the Hamburg Ballet dancers,
Ivan Urban, Alexandre Riabko, Helene Bouchet, Yohan Stegli, Galien Johnston,
Loris Bonani, Stephanie Minler and Stefano Palmigiano are coming. I imagine
that some of the persons who are reading this would like to come to see
these performances.
The second part will be a show time, maybe. Hattori's grandfather was one of the most famous pop music composers in Japan, for example,
Tokyo Boogie(Tokyo- Bugi-ugi), China Baby in My Arms(Soshu-Yakyoku), I'll
Come to You(Mune-no-Furiko), Let's Love(Aoi-Sanmyaku) and so on. Alomst
Japanese peole can sing his songs, I expect. So Yukichi is going to choreographe
about his grandfather's songs.
Someone abroad wants to visit Japan to see the performances, please contact
me. I 'll tell you how to get the tickets.
