"Musashino Media Laboratory" is a personal activity to make digital contents and try new usage of digital equipment using very high speed network (Fiber to the home, in-house GbE LAN), digital processing equipment (PC, storage), sound synthesizer & processor, high definition digital recorder & camera and so on. The Processing Units (PUs) of HPC (High Performance Computing) Cluster are updated in May 2020 and the cluster starts trial operation. See detail at "About HPC Cluster" page.

It's located in "Musashino" area, western suburb of Tokyo JAPAN so named "Musashino". Please excuse big name "Laboratory".

This site is composed with "Front-end Server (Service)" and "Back-end Server" because this site handles very large size contents. "Front-end Server (Service)" is in NTT Plala's "Private Homepage" server and "Back-end Server" is a large capacity server in MML. When link in front-end is clicked, after availability is checked, back-end is normally selected at random. Secondary "Back-end Server" was installed in May 2015 for load balancing and higher availability. And the second "Front-end (Service)" and the third "Back-end Server" were added in March 2016, it is located in more than 120km away from main site and it uses different power company, different subscriber loop provider and internet service provider (ISP) considering the availability under wide area serious disaster. Back-end Server (Main) was expanded to 4TB in August 2017 and more expanded to 6TB in March 2019. Back-end Server (Annex2) was expanded to 6TB in October 2020.

The Web master of this site has more than thirty years experience of system development and technology research&development in large Japanese telecommunication group company and now works in telecommunication standardization organization after researching in thinktank.
